The modern newPSPiX wireless radiovisiography is the most versatile image plate scanner , capable of producing X-ray images in a full range of intraoral image sizes (from 0 to 4) in just a few seconds. The reusable image plates are extremely thin and flexible, allowing for easy and precise positioning in the oral cavity while ensuring maximum patient comfort.
The scanner is compatible with all intraoral X-ray units (AC or DC). It supports networking (up to 10 workstations) and is TWAIN-compatible. Its small size and weight of only 2.6 kg enable ergonomic operation in any office. A wide, intuitive, color touchscreen facilitates system operation and provides a preview of the captured X-ray image. The scanner can also be controlled via computer software.
How does the PSPIX scanner work?
AUTO-ACCESS: the scanner automatically picks up the imaging plate after placing it in the guide. AUTO-DETECTION: the PSPiX automatically detects the size of the scanning imaging plate without the need to interfere with the device's housing panel. AUTO-SCAN: the device automatically reads and optimizes the image before displaying it on the appropriate workstation (a few seconds). AUTO-CLEANING: the imaging plate is automatically cleaned and ready for reuse. ECO-MODE: the PSPiX automatically switches to energy-saving mode when it is not used for a certain period of time.
